Council Secretariat

Toi te Taiao: the Bioethics Council is supported by a Secretariat. The Council Secretariat:

• Is an independent unit located within the Ministry for the Environment.
• Provides administrative support, research and policy advice to the Bioethics Council.
• Is currently developing international contacts to assist the Bioethics Council maintain a watching brief on overseas developments in biotechnology.

The Secretariat are:
